# Andromeda Roasters

Welcome to Andromeda Roasters, my personal coffee brand. We are a brand that focuses on giving the consumer the best coffee experience they've ever had. I make deliveries in my school campus and provide a wide variety of specialty coffee drinks. Its website was built primarily using React.js and TailwindCSS, although it also uses Strapi as a backend headless CMS hosted in a Heroku Dyno _(Which will have to change since Heroku is removing free plans)_. The site fetches menu items from the CMS and displays them. Then the user selects their order and i receive a message containing the items and order total.

The drinks we provide are:

- Americano
- Espresso
- Cold Brew
- Latte (Optional: caramel or vainilla syrup)
- Pour Over
- Iced Latte

It is quite simple, but I’m proud since it was my first paid work. I really like this school and here is where I first got the motivation and knowledge to fully discover that i loved web development.

Crystal is a blogging platform I built in mid-2021 to first try out Next.js. As you might already have noticed, I instantly fell in love with the way Next.js made things easier and provided a powerful developer environment ready for any heavy workload or task. You can create posts, view them, change your account settings, and it even has file uploads!

Earth is a website dedicated to teaching the public more eco-friendly ways of living. It includes articles, videos, and photos on different topics ranging from air pollution to deforestation and more. Earth was developed to participate in Coding Academy Monterrey’s second annual tournament. Earth won first place in the high school category.

# Tutorriffic

Tutorriffic, where the best tutors meet the best learners. Tutorriffic is a mobile app designed to connect schoolmates into one-to-one tutoring sessions. This app was part of **ROBOHackIT 2022**, a 24 hour hackathon organised by James W. Robinson Secondary School. My team's project won the **Best Use of Google Cloud award**. The app was built using Flutter and Firebase.

This URL shortener is built with NextJS, MongoDB, ReactJS, and Vercel. It is an application that will allow the team to shorten URLs for use in social media posts, presentations, and other places where a URL is needed. The application is hosted on Vercel, and the database is hosted on MongoDB Atlas.

This website was made for the FRC team [VOTLEC Robotics 6647](https://www.instagram.com/voltecrobotics6647/) from PrepaTec Eugenio Garza Lagüera. It consists of a landing page with general information on the team, as well as an administration system where users can upload newspapers which inside the team we call VOLTEC Weekly. This is by far one of my favourite projects I've ever done due to the love I have for the team.

# Women of Tomorrow

I worked on the project "Women of Tomorrow", where I led the design team and created the branding for the event.

Women of Tomorrow was an event dedicated to showing middle and high-school girls about their possibilities in STEAM, organised by FRC team VOLTEC Robotics 6647, of which I am a member. The event was held on November 25th and 26th in PrepaTec Eugenio Garza Lagüera, Monterrey, Mexico.

The event featured conferences from experienced women in different fields of STEAM, as well as interactive workshops led by team members and women with high levels of expertise in STEAM. The conferences explained topics such as women empowerment, finances, and entrepreneurship, while the workshops covered topics such as robotics, programming, and digital design.

My role in the event was conceiving the branding: banners, staff and participant badges, presentations, logos, social media posts, flyers, invitations, and stickers, not to forget the fonts, colours, layouts, and their meaning behind them.

The first step to complete the branding was to lay down what emotions and intentions we wanted the branding to convey. We went for a powerful and formal design language that used distinct shades of purple and pink. Once the design language was complete, my design team and I worked cooperatively to put out all the required resources. During the event, I led the media coverage by forming a group of photographers and videographers that successfully covered all conferences and workshops.

I am thankful for having had the opportunity to participate in this event dedicated to changing the lives of more than a hundred girls in my immediate community.
